Provide a Check-in Link: Use Google Forms, Survey Monkey, or your website form functionality to create a link that attendees use to sign in. Check-in forms should be short. They’re less likely to complete the process if there’s more than a few steps. Type in name and a few boxes is enough.
Highlight Why Check-In: Multiple times, attendees should be told how to and why the check-in. Explaining the why’s will give members & guests reasons for the extra effort.
Use Your Medium’s Tools: If using Zoom, use the attendance log under Zoom’s reporting feature. After a few weeks, you may be able to connect device names and phone numbers to people. If live casts like YouTube or Facebook, scan through the “likes” and “comments” to see who is attending.
Invite Comments to See Who Is There: Ask people members to use the comments intro themselves and welcome anyone watching. Use simple questions for discussion in the message or prayers. Attendee lists can be re-constructed from the comments and followed up.
Use a Registration System to Provide Your Worship Link: Ask people to register to get the link for worship each week, you can get their contact information that way. Downside: this could be a barrier to worship attendance.
