Katie has been involved in children’s ministry ever since her Children’s Director told her she was finally old enough to help out with VBS (which, at her church, was a rising 6th grader). Growing up in the Methodist Church and now a proud Anglican, Katie has children’s and youth ministry experience in both traditions. She’s passionate about meeting children and students exactly where they are developmentally and connecting them with adults and friends, and a God who loves them wildly.
Katie is a Floridian-turned-Midwesterner, and now lives in Chicago, where she taught elementary school before joining the Ministry Architects team. She loves the matchmaking work of connecting great churches with great candidates, and is a big fan of Mark DeVries and Jeff Dunn-Rankin (one of whom is her father). In her spare time, you can find Katie attending or performing in local theatre, enjoying a goofy sitcom or podcast, or turning her space heater up to the max setting during Chicago winters.
